BMW takes the next step towards zero-emission mobility. In 2010 the company already presented the Active E Concept. Now it’s reality. An electric car based on the 1 Series will be built as a test fleet of more than 1000 cars at the factory in Leipzig. Testing of the Active E will start this year in Europe, the USA and China. It will be presented at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
