Forza 4 due in the Autumn

Fans of driving games can now be heard rejoicing around the world with the announcement that Forza Motorsport 4 is due to be released in the Autumn of 2011.

Having launched back in 2005 the Forza Motorsport series has sold around 9 million copies and has become in many eyes the top racing simulator in the gaming universe with Gran Tourismo being the only close competition.  

The Xbox exclusive game will also work with new Kinect as well as the much loved classic controls and as always will contain vast amounts of cars, circuits and online entertainment.

So if driving your used Mercedes-Benz E Class is starting to bore you, or you would love to buy a new Audi TT, Oxford being a good place to do so, but the wallet won't stretch that far then Forza Motorsport 4 could be the game to fulfill your driving and racing needs.

BMX Triple Backflip World Record

A new BMX bike world record has been emphatically broken by a New Zealander who goes by the name of Jed Mildon.

Jed pulled off the triple backflip on a bmx live at Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam in Taupo on Saturday.

Heading down a 20 metre high ramp at 37 mph, the brave (some say crazy) rider launched off a 3 metre take off ramp, flying into the air whilst back flipping 3 times before effortlessly landing to loud cheers and applause.

Scirocco R-Cup heads to Austria

The second round of the 2011 Scirocco R-Cup arrives at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria this weekend.

After a captivating first round at Hockenheim where an impressive debut from Britain's Daniel Lloyd was scuppered by rookie Polish driver Mateusz Lisowski piping him to the chequred flag, fingers are crossed for another scintillating weekend of race action.

After watching the first round of racing, my inner demon decided to open his mouth and started implanting thoughts of buying a new car into my head and before I knew it I found myself in a showroom looking at a used Volkswagen Scirocco.

Luckily for me the little voice that stops me making rash and unnecessary purchases had also decided to join me on the day. The girlfriend always manages to bring me back to reality in the end.

Maybe one day...

In the meantime good luck to Daniel Lloyd for this weekend, here's to seeing him top of the podium on Sunday!
