35 years ago Volkswagon unleashed the Golf GTI on the world. This hot hatch has gained a massive cult following over the years and to celebrate this milestone VW are giving the the current model a birthday present that even a spoiled brat wouldn't frown upon.

This special edition will have more power and vigor than its sibling with VW squeezing an extra 25bhp out of the current engine, giving the current 2.0 litre beauty 232bhp overall.

An added present of a facelift has been given to the new VW Golf GTI with some stylish yet subtle touches being made. Badges and stitching proudly displaying the birthday girls ages have been added, along with a new bumper, wing mirrors and alloys but the piece de resistance has to be the golf ball gear leaver, a nice touch indeed.

Due to be released at the end of the year, it goes without a doubt that this Golf will be a much sort after car.
