Flying Car Made Legal on U.S Roads!

The Terrafugia Transition has just been made road legal in the states by the U.S National Highway Traffic Safety which means the UK could soon follow suit.

Only currently available across the pond and costing $250,000, the Terrafugia Transition seats two people and transforms from car to plane in 15 seconds at the touch of a button. It can reach speeds of 115mph in the air and 65mph on the ground and a full tank offers a range of up to 500 miles. It only takes 20 hours worth of lessons to learn how to fly this amazing machine and aviation professionals believe it could be in regular use across the UK in 5 years time.

Its not quite the DeLorean from Back to the Future part 2 but I suppose its a step in the right direction, but I for one wouldn't fancy going up in one of these, I hate getting on a jumbo jet let alone a fibreglass car with fold down wings!
