The new $37,995 SRT version (SRT, by the way, stands for "Street and Racing Technology") takes this 5-door to a whole new level: a 425-bhp hemi V-8 means that, according to the manufacturer, the Magnum SRT8 sprints to 60 mph in the low 5 second range, can run the quarter mile in the high 13 second range, and can pull off a 0-100 mph-0 run in around 16.5 seconds!

While the all-out acceleration is impressive, the car's handling and stopping abilities have also been stepped up. Thick anti-roll bars, stiffer springs and Bilstein shocks have been added, as have big 4-piston Brembo brakes, nesting inside the impressive 20-in. forged alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear F1 all-season rubber.

The Magnum SRT8's standard equipment package is impressive: AM/FM six-disc CD changer, body-hugging leather-clad front sports seats with suede inserts and a 180 mph speedometer.
